Lacey will play the lead role of Sarah, an aspiring artist. The film follows her life as an unwed expectant mother that finds herself estranged from her Manhattan socialite parents when she accepts the romantic interests of the African American doctor (Hill Harper) who saves her life when serious complications arise during the birth of  her child
